About The Legion Of Mary
Started in Ireland in 1921, the Legion of Mary has developed and spread to
almost every diocese in the world and presently has a membership of some two million active members and 15 million auxiliary
(praying) members.
Legionaries perform two hours of apostolic work a week, such as visiting
homes of parishioners, shut-ins and those who have ceased to practice their Catholic Faith. Other works include visiting hospitals,
prisons and nursing homes, orphanages, home for aged, running spiritual groups , to instruct people in the Faith , etc.
There are 2 units in St Ignatius Parish.
Seniors (Above 18) : Meeting's on Tuesday's 7.45 p.m.
Juniors (Below 18) : Meeting's on Saturday's 6.00 p.m.
